God has blessed us with four baptisms and one place membership in just eight days! Recently God answered our prayers with a record breaking attendance! Kip spoke powerfully at our Bring Your Neighbor Day, Matt & Helen Sullivan gave a moving communion, and we witnessed an attendance of 116! It was also great to have in the audience Kip’s parents (Admiral & Mrs. McKean) and Matt’s mom! The sermon inspired all of us in Orlando to have the vision to become the “pillar church” for the Southeastern United States!
Micah Poole, a Sports Medicine major at UCF, was recently baptized! Steve & Melanie Coyle, our “Shepherding Couple-in-training,” have been studying the Bible with a couple who invited Micah and his wife to our monthly Marriage Enrichment Class. Micah studied every day until he was baptized, and the following week, Ashley, his wife, studied every day until she was baptized! What a miracle of God for them to be united in Christ, along with their toddler, David!
Another family victory is in the Clerzeau Family! Jesse Clerzeau was baptized about 10 months ago, and in April, she baptized Sendy, her older sister! Then this month, they baptized their 17 year old sister! Now her other sister and her brother are studying the Bible!
Also, it has been encouraging having “the DC 5” already here in Orlando! (There are 16 disciples on the Orlando Mission Team – five from Washington DC, two from Charlotte, and nine from LA!) Our brother OJ was job hunting and ran into a friend, Allan, who he had studied with in DC. Allan is an Entertainment Business major at Full Sail University and was baptized into Christ recently as well!
Lastly, Steve Birks placed membership Sunday as he moved here from New Orleans having been baptized by a dear remnant brother. We embraced him with open arms as he moved to Orlando to be a part of a “discipling ministry” in God’s SoldOut Movement! The church witnessed a record breaker with four baptisms and a membership placement all within a week’s time – including three of those baptisms on the same Sunday and while a tropical storm was blowing through! We so are fired-up about all God is doing here in Orlando and also about the Sullivans and the rest of the team coming here in August!
