Today was an awesome day in the Park as the Orlando disciples gathered together to hear “6 men in 6 minutes”! The singing led by Jose Pepin was amazing and encouraging and after a short break – the men began their lessons!
Ted Green began with a lesson which taught us that we are to not only be friends of God, but friends to each other! What are you doing to cultivate fellowship in the gathering of the saints?
At 6:27 into the message, Brandon Green from campus came up and shared a touching story about his life and how our first love must be Christ.
At 12:07 into the message, Jedediah shared how he had finally ‘humanized’ Christ, showing where the Bible tells of Christs complete dependence on God to overcome being human, and how that allowed Jedediah to relate to Christ and more adequately follow him.
At 17:30 our brother Curtis came with a powerful message about God’s jealousy towards his people – how being friends to the world and friends with God is not acceptable.
At 24:15 our awesome brother Will Davenport came to us with a sobering message of, “Many of us feel overwhelmed not because we are taking on too much, but because we’re taking on too little of what matters.”
And finally at 31:30, our brother Devon came up and preached another lesson on friendships and fellowship.
The service was so encouraging and wonderful – hearing from our up and coming leaders was truly inspiring! Right after service we had three baptisms! Carlos Ortiz from Campus, Jonathan Brooks from central, and Rocky from AMS joined the kingdom today – and to God be the glory!
